[Haichuan Overseas Engineering] Commencement of the “Carbon-Based New Materials Project” at Indonexia Anlun New Materials Technology Co., Ltd

In early March, the “Carbon-Based New Materials Project” of Indonexium New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. officially commenced construction at the Qingshan Park of the Indonesia Integrated Industrial Park. It is understood that this project is funded by Shanxi Yangguang Coking Group; it represents the group’s first overseas project as well as the first overseas investment in China’s carbon black industry. It will serve to establish new manufacturing facilities abroad to support the domestic tire industry. The total investment amounts to approximately 287 million US dollars (about 2.057 billion yuan), and the project is being constructed by the Tianjin branch of China National Chemical Engineering Corporation. The project is planned to include an installation with an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of carbon black, as well as a facility for processing 400,000 tons of tar. It will also have production lines for 150,000 tons of electrode paste and 100,000 crucibles, in addition to a subcritical ultra-high temperature boiler for treating carbon black exhaust gas with a capacity of 210 t/h, and a subcritical ultra-high temperature water-cooled generator set with a capacity of 65 MW. Upon completion, it will enable the recycling of resources such as raw materials and waste heat, establish a green and low-carbon industrial chain, effectively enhance the regional supply capacity for carbon black, and promote local employment as well as improvements in infrastructure. As the first overseas project in China’s carbon black industry, its implementation will enhance the industrial chain synergy of Chinese tires in Indonesia and facilitate the expansion of carbon-based new materials into downstream areas such as acicular coke and lithium battery anode materials, attracting significant attention from the local government. Founded in 1992, Shanxi Yangguang Coking Group has grown into a clean and environmentally friendly coal and coking chemical enterprise group that integrates coal mining, raw coal processing, coking production, tar processing, and the development of new carbon-based materials. It is considered the flagship enterprise in China’s independent coking industry as well as the key player in Shanxi Province’s carbon-based new materials industry chain. The group produces 5.09 million tons of high-quality coke annually, and its capacity for producing carbon black ranks among the highest in the industry; it is currently making every effort to go public on the A-share main board.
Introduction to Shanxi Yangguang Coking Co., Ltd. Shanxi Yangguang Coking Group Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Yangguang Group”) is a clean and environmentally friendly enterprise in the coal coking industry as well as in the field of advanced new materials. It engages in activities such as coal mining, washing and processing, coke production, tar processing, carbon black manufacturing, fine chemical production, and the development of carbon-based new materials. The following is a brief overview of its core aspects: Establishment and Development Founded in 1992, the company has grown over more than three decades from a local coking enterprise into a leader in the industry. It is now regarded as the key enterprise in Shanxi Province’s carbon-based new materials sector, and it also serves as the vice president unit of the China Coking Industry Association. Business layout: Core industries – annual production of 5.09 million tons of high-quality coke, 385,000 tons of carbon black, and 1.08 million tons of coal tar derivatives. The range of fine chemical products includes more than 20 types such as refined naphthalene, anthraquinone, and carbazole, with production capacities that rank among the highest in the industry nationwide. Extended fields: Engaging in green building materials, self-owned power plants, railway transportation, logistics and trade, international trade, etc., to form a circular economy industrial chain of “coke – coke by-products – deep processing of tar – carbon black – refined products – carbon-based materials”. Technical strength: It boasts a modern coal blending R&D center, and through collaborations with universities such as Tianjin University and East China University of Science and Technology, it has obtained nearly 300 patent technologies. It has taken the lead in or participated in the development of multiple standards, and its level of technical equipment as well as its achievements in environmental protection rank among the best in the industry. Environmental protection and social responsibility: We proactively shut down outdated production facilities and invest in the development of high-end coking projects. Environmental protection-related expenditures account for over 15% of the total investment amount. The energy consumption per ton of coke produced has been reduced to 110 kgce/t, with a 100% rate of dry quenching of coke, resulting in annual savings of 120,000 tons of standard coal. It has contributed over 100 million yuan in funds and goods, focusing on educational support, cultural preservation, and improvement of people’s livelihoods; it has been awarded titles such as \"National Model Workers’ Home\" and \"National Model Enterprise with Harmonious Labor Relations\". Market Presence and Influence: The products are sold both domestically and internationally, with customers including large steel companies. The company holds approximately 4.22% of the domestic market share in carbon black products. By 2025, it will be included in the list of the top 500 private manufacturing enterprises in China, ranking 16th among the top private enterprises in Shanxi Province and 13th among the top 30 manufacturing enterprises.
