Recently, the Weifang Ecology and Environment Bureau issued a public notice regarding the acceptance of the environmental impact assessment report for Weifang Sanli Benno Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.’s project to expand production of aramid polymer monomers. Project Overview: Project Name: Expansion Project for Aramid Polymerization Monomers. Constructor: Weifang Sanlibenuo Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. Nature of the construction: Renovation and expansion. Industry category: C2614 – Manufacturing of organic chemical raw materials. Scope of the construction: The project is located in the Changyi Longchi Chemical Industrial Park, where the existing aramid polymerization monomers production facility (registration number: 1307000025) will be renovated and expanded. The project will involve an additional land area of about 9 mu, as well as an additional building area of around 0.7 million square meters. New facilities such as bottling workshops and Tank Area No. 3 will be constructed, while equipment such as reaction vessels, distillation towers, and storage tanks will be added. Some of the equipment used for handling exhaust gases will also be replaced or adjusted, and additional utilities such as air compressors will be installed. Using main raw materials such as isophthalic acid, terephthalic acid, and thionyl chloride, isophthaloyl chloride and terephthaloyl chloride are produced through processes including synthesis, distillation, exhaust gas treatment, and compression; as by-products, 25% hydrochloric acid, liquid hydrogen chloride, and liquid sulfur dioxide are generated. Upon completion of the project, an annual increase of 6,000 tons in the production of phthaloyl chloride and terephthaloyl chloride will be achieved. Additionally, 8,604.088 tons of 25% hydrochloric acid, 232.652 tons of liquid hydrogen chloride (equivalent to 930.61 tons of 25% hydrochloric acid), and 3,896.14 tons of liquid sulfur dioxide will be produced as by-products each year. Construction location: No. 11, Haineng Road, Changyi Longchi Chemical Industrial Park, within the existing factory complex of Weifang Sanli Benuo Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. Project investment: The total estimated investment for this project is 20 million yuan, of which 350,000 yuan is allocated to environmental protection measures, accounting for approximately 1.8% of the total investment. Construction period: 12 months. Labor force: No additional labor force is required for this project; production will be carried out using the existing employees. Working system: This project operates on a continuous basis, using a four-shift, three-shift system with 8 hours of work per shift; it is operational for 333 days per year, resulting in 8,000 hours of operation annually.
