Recently, the bio-based PDO production project in Changqing, Shanxi, with a total investment of 203 million yuan and an annual output of 15,000 tons, was approved for implementation. This is another significant move following the successful commissioning in 2022 of the project carried out in collaboration between Changqing Biology and Qingda Zhixing, which aims to produce 20,000 tons of sugar-based PDO per year. Construction location: South entrance of Gangshang Village, Yuzhe Town, Tunliu District, Changzhi City. Approval status: Pre-review approved. Scale and scope of construction: Project for annual production of 15,000 tons of bio-based PDO ； Construction contents: Utilizing existing equipment for lysine production, saccharification, fermentation, extraction, and utility systems, a new distillation workshop, a decolorization workshop, a combined plant, Class B warehouses, a fire pump room and tank area will be built, along with additional equipment such as distillation tanks and a nitrogen generation station ； The project covers an area of 12,869㎡, with a building area of 22,615.6㎡. As early as May 2022, Qingda Zhixing joined forces with Changqing Biology to establish Shanxi Qingda Changxing Biotechnology Co., Ltd. In June of the same year, the production facility for PDO via the sugar method, with an annual capacity of 20,000 tons, was successfully commissioned for operation.
