According to Sinochem New Network, on April 21, the expansion project of Evonik’s specialty amine factory in Nanjing was officially put into operation. With an investment of tens of millions of euros, this project has significantly enhanced Evonik’s ability to provide innovative amine additives for applications such as polyurethanes and epoxy curing agents. This expansion of specialty amine production not only helps to better meet the growing demand in the Asian market, but also further optimizes the company’s global production network, ensuring more reliable access to raw materials. Kumar Mann, Chairman of Evonik Industries Group, said at the commissioning ceremony: “This commissioning not only signifies the introduction of new production capacity but also reflects Evonik’s long-term commitment to the Chinese market.” By strengthening local production capabilities, promoting sustainable development, and driving innovation, we are working together with our partners to build a resilient foundation for future growth. ” The expanded Evonik Nanjing facility now possesses the capability for commercial-scale production of advanced reactive specialty amines, offering reliable solutions for applications in high-performance polyurethanes and epoxy curing agents that are subject to increasingly strict emission standards. The Evonik facility in Nanjing uses green electricity for all its production processes, which fully reflects the company’s firm commitment to practicing sustainable and responsible manufacturing practices at the Nanjing Jiangbei New Materials Science Park.
