【2026 Industry Updates】Overview of the latest progress in China’s SAF projects in 2026 – Wansheng’s municipal key projects

As of March 2026, the construction of the headquarters base for biofuels, a municipal key project located in Wansheng with an annual production capacity of 500,000 tons, is progressing in an orderly manner. This project is funded by Jiangsu Meixu Environmental Protection Technology and constructed by China State Construction Fifth Engineering Bureau’s Third Construction Company. It focuses on the research, development, and production of bioaviation fuel, with an overall plan to be implemented in three phases; once completed, it will fill a gap in the regional industry.
With the completion and operation of this project, a gap in Wansheng’s industrial chain for advanced biofuels has been filled, and the regional layout of the green energy industry has been improved. This marks a significant and crucial step forward for Wansheng in its efforts to develop a hub for green aviation fuel production that can serve the entire southwest region as well as the whole country.
