On May 27, the contents of the environmental protection acceptance report for the expansion project of Quzhou Kaiwo Chemical Co., Ltd., which aims to produce 1,500 tons of methyl 3-methoxyacrylate (MAME) and 1,000 tons of 4-trifluoromethylnicotinic acid (TFNA) per year, were made public. The relevant details are as follows: Project name: Expansion project of Quzhou Kaiwo Chemical Co., Ltd. for producing 1,500 tons of methyl 3-methoxyacrylate (MAME) and 1,000 tons of 4-trifluoromethylnicotinic acid (TFNA) annually； Construction unit: Quzhou Kaiwo Chemical Co., Ltd ； Construction site: No. 18, Huayang Road, Kecheng District, Quzhou City ； Project investment: 40.82 million yuan ； Date of project completion and trial production: Construction of the project began in October 2024; the production line was completed and ready for acceptance in July 2025. Trial production took place from July 2025 to April 2026. Construction details: The approved scale for the project is “an annual production of 1,500 tons of 3-methoxyacrylate methyl ester (MAME) and 1,000 tons of 4-trifluoromethylnicotinic acid (TFNA)”; among this, the capacity for “an annual production of 500 tons of 3-methoxyacrylate methyl ester (MAME) and 500 tons of 4-trifluoromethylnicotinic acid (TFNA)” was already subject to acceptance in 2024 ； The scope of this acceptance inspection covers the addition of a new production line with an annual capacity of 500 tons of 4-trifluoromethylnicotinic acid (TFNA). Since the company has committed not to build a production line for 3-methoxyacrylate methyl ester (MAME) with an annual capacity of 1,000 tons, this acceptance inspection constitutes the final acceptance of the entire project.
