I am facing a problem with selecting a high-temperature valve for this design, and I hope that experienced colleagues can offer some suggestions. Process parameters: medium – wax vapor; operating temperature – 550°C; pressure – 0.1 MPa; DN25. Please use the following format: Valve body-Valve core-Seat/sealing surface material-Packing. Please provide the material selections for gate valves and ball valves. Thank you
Hello, since the operating temperature is relatively high, at 550°C, either superalloy steel or duplex stainless steel can be used. However, it depends on the number of valves you need; if it’s just 1 valve, many manufacturers are reluctant to take on the order. Even if they do, the delivery time will be long and the price will not be low. The valve body can be made of 2205, and graphite can be used as the packing.
The material used is 2205 duplex steel, with a diameter of DN25. For such a small valve, no one is willing to manufacture it in small quantities; I’ve encountered situations where orders like this couldn’t be fulfilled
