Could posts under the categories of materials and sealing be added? That would make it easier to post and also help in finding resources.
To make suggestions, go to the editorial section; what’s the name of the section for posting random messages?
Why increase it? Is there a market for it? Please give your reasons. If it is thorough enough and does not conflict with the content of existing sections, it can be discussed further.

It could be considered placing it under the Mechanical category, or simply combining it with the “Corrosion” section under the title “Materials and Corrosion”. Sealing it as a separate plate isn’t really necessary. Relevant content can be covered by sections such as pipes and valves, containers, and moving equipment. Please @cleaner @2887848, the bosses, consider it.

In fact, there are discussion threads related to materials in many forums, and the processing forum is no exception; it’s just that different forums cover a varying range of materials. For example, the manufacturing sector can focus on material welding and heat treatment, the pipe and valve sector can focus on the selection of pipeline materials, the container sector can focus on the selection of materials for containers, and so on. In the materials section, more in-depth discussions on the underlying mechanisms and technologies of materials can take place. On the other hand, in none of the sections is the term “material” used. This might also be the reason why the original poster raised this question.
Well, that’s true. But it’s still not appropriate; the result for the segmented sections was no one participating.
