Well, the smaller the solubility product, the easier it is for a precipitate to form.
Calcium sulfate – about 400 parts of water are needed to dissolve 1 part of calcium sulfate dihydrate. Meanwhile, the solubility of calcium chloride in water is 740 g/L, which is not in the same order of magnitude at all. Calcium sulfate is slightly soluble in water and tends to precipitate easily.
It’s not certain. It depends on the types and composition of the various ions in the solution. If none of the compounds reach saturation, they each act on their own, in a free and scattered manner. Here, the problem is of course the calcium sulfate precipitation issue. However, the solubility product of calcium sulfate is a function of the types and concentrations of ions in the solution.
