1. How does the working principle of a two-chamber balanced level gauge differ from that of the common pressure-transmitting tube type level gauge? The two-chamber balance vessel is also of the pressure guide tube type; however, its structure is more complex than that of a regular pressure guide tube level gauge, and it possesses self-compensation capabilities. The dual-chamber balance vessel is most commonly used for measuring the liquid level in the drum of boilers. During operation, saturated steam condenses within the chamber, releasing heat that heats the positive-pressure and negative-pressure compensation pipes; moreover, a sufficient protective layer is provided on the outer surface of the balance vessel. It reduces heat loss, bringing the temperature of the equilibrium vessel close to that inside the steam drum. This ensures that the density of the water in the positive pressure compensation pipe and the negative pressure pipe is approximately equal to the density of the water in the drum under all operating conditions, thereby eliminating measurement errors caused by density changes. 2. What is the working principle of the back-pulse type level gauge? It is measured based on the principle of hydrostatic pressure.
