Is it necessary to install on-site pressure/temperature/level gauges in every place where settings for pressure/temperature/level display are made?
LI PI TI all fall under remote instrument transmission and are part of the instrument category; LG PG TG all belong to on-site instrument displays and fall within the category of process technology ; To facilitate mutual reference between instruments and the process, both are generally present at the same time. However, for hazardous areas such as the bottom of the tower liquid level LG (glass plate) and the bottom pressure PG (pressure gauge), in most cases the on-site display is disabled, with only the remote transmission of the instrument retained; it is activated only when a failure of the instrument is detected.
It is not necessary to have primary instruments on-site at all, but to facilitate on-site inspection and monitoring, primary instruments should be installed whenever possible if conditions permit.
Generally, pressure gauges are required, but due to the poor quality of the pressure gauges and bimetallic thermometers used on site, their reliability is very low, often leading to misleading readings for operators. I usually install pressure gauges only at the pump outlet; I avoid installing them elsewhere. I also refrain from using bimetallic thermometers wherever possible. However, a liquid level gauge must be installed on site – it’s essential and cannot be omitted.
Generally, they need to be installed; relying solely on a set of instruments can sometimes result in inaccurate readings. However, some instruments these days combine on-site monitoring with remote transmission! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
It’s basically the same in production facilities. It seems that some large storage tanks lack on-site level gauges.
Of course not; it depends on the actual needs that arise on site! All these instruments are installed for safety or practical production needs; we just need to consider their purpose to understand that.
