Excuse me, may I ask what is the difference between Volume 2 of ASME Book 8, which covers construction methods under other rules, and Volume 1? I really couldn’t tell what the difference was? A poor level is indeed a serious issue; please give some advice. Thank you
1. There is less material, but more requirements for the material. 2. Different safety factors. 3. Different theoretical foundations: the third and fourth strength theories. 4. Different calculation formulas in rule design ； (The perforated reinforcement section is the same as that in Appendix 8-1); the calculations for the heat exchanger are identical, with the only difference being that the third strength theory is used for one case and the fourth strength theory for another. 5. There is an additional analysis and design step. 6. The differences between manufacturing and inspection are significant. Requirements, methodology *EN13445 requirements, etc. . .
