I would like to ask the experts: For the catalytic gasoline produced by catalytic cracking units, which is used as raw material for the hydrogenation of catalytic gasoline, and is stored in internal floating roof tanks, is it necessary to install a nitrogen blanketing system? Furthermore, is it necessary to install nitrogen seals for the product gasoline resulting from catalytic gasoline hydrogenation, as well as for gasoline blending components such as MTBE? Thank you!
It is highly necessary; it is best to supply the material directly without using an intermediate tank, as this saves energy and protects the raw materials.
The catalytic gasoline we produced was nitrogen-sealed, which may be related to the sulfur content or the amount of light components. Refined gasoline and MTBE do not require nitrogen blanketing.
All the feed streams for hydrorefining here are equipped with nitrogen sealing! It’s better to choose a safe spot!
