Dear sailors, is there a testing pass rate where you are? I’m really troubled these days because our team’s yield is always at the bottom rank every day. As the main operator in charge of the reaction process, I bear undeniable responsibility for this. Both the workshop supervisor and the team leader are dissatisfied with me. I really want to improve our yield, but every attempt ends in failure. Our team receives a very low bonus, and other teams mock us. I’m truly at a loss. The atmosphere in the team is also very tense. Sometimes I even consider giving up my role as main operator, but then I feel too disappointed. After working so hard for all these years to become both the main operator and the deputy team leader, I’m not willing to give up just like that. But every time the yield is very low, I feel sad and distressed; I’m under a lot of stress every day. I sometimes wonder if it’s worth it Hey, fellow sailors, can anyone give me an answer?
You can take inspiration from the process operations used in other classes; by considering their adjustment trends along with the yield results, you can determine your own direction for adjustments. This requires experience, as what works for others may not necessarily suit you. Logically, changes in the operation with the same raw materials should not be significant.

But improving the yield requires a scientific approach; one needs to know whether the yield has reached its optimal level If not, determine where it was lost and take appropriate measures; there is no need to conduct assessments at every shift, as this will lead to many drawbacks. For example, the operator manipulates things on the liquid surface ; Another issue is related to quality: too little diesel is produced during sampling, while too much diesel is produced when no sampling is done, resulting in the bulk tank’s product not meeting quality standards. That day, a colleague also told me that they used to use steam in front of the meters in order to meet assessment requirements and inflate the measurement data. All of this loses the true meaning of assessment. As a reaction operator and deputy team leader, how much responsibility does the poster bear for the negative yield? In my opinion, as long as the operator in your team handles things smoothly, has an appropriate level of reaction speed, and the parameters such as fuel-to-oil ratio are within acceptable ranges, that should be sufficient. You can’t change the properties of the raw materials or catalysts on your own just to increase the yield, right? How can improving the yield be something that only the person in charge of the reaction is responsible for? It also has something to do with the separation precision in positions such as fractionation stabilization alongside you. However, the original poster said that your class can’t beat others every day, so you need to discuss it and figure out where the problem lies
You say that the workshop supervisor and team leader are dissatisfied with you; I think they aren’t fulfilling their responsibilities properly. In my opinion, there’s no point in evaluating the efficiency of a team when using raw materials of the same type under the same operating conditions. If you want to come first, then you can only focus on things like liquid level – other teams will have to suffer as a result. What’s the point of that? Moreover, even if the workshop doesn’t restrict your operations, once your team realizes what adjustments need to be made, it’s time for you to leave work; it’s the next team that benefits from that
Personally, I think it’s acceptable to see a positive increase in yield; but if everyone tries to be deceitful by manipulating the liquid level and reporting figures, then that’s not a good approach. That’s why some organizations stop evaluating yield after a certain period of time. If each team can analyze problems on its own and improve its operational skills, the yield can still be increased.
Take a look at the operating parameters of other classes; under normal circumstances, when the properties of the raw materials are the same, the yield does not experience significant fluctuations, unless the person in charge of measurement plays tricks.
These experiences are extremely valuable; they all relate to matters of personal interest
