Advances in Coal Chemical Industry Gasification Technology and Development Recommendations Author/Source: Date: 11-19-2015 Clicks: 6 The China Coal Processing and Utilization Association held the “Second Symposium on New Types of Coal Gasification and Coal Quality, as well as the Annual Meeting of the Coal Conversion Branch of the China Coal Processing and Utilization Association” in Beijing from November 12–13, 2015. Liu Feng, vice president of the China Coal Industry Association; Lü Ying, president of the China Coal Processing and Utilization Association, and Zhang Shaoqiang, vice president of the same association; Zhang Minglin, deputy general manager of Shandong Yankuang Group; Shang Jianxuan, deputy general manager of Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group Company; and Yang Qingmin, deputy general manager of Shanxi Coking Coal Group Company, among others, attended the meeting ； More than 160 representatives, including leaders, experts, and scholars from technology R&D firms, equipment manufacturers, coal chemical production enterprises, and research institutions across the country’s modern coal chemical industry, attended the conference. During the conference, nearly 30 experts, scholars, R&D personnel, and representatives from institutions such as the Petroleum and Chemical Industry Planning Institute, China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation, the Coal Science Research Institute, the Shanxi Institute of Coal Chemistry under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Datang International Energy & Chemical Research Institute, as well as various technology R&D companies, gathered to discuss topics including the specific requirements of coal gasification technology regarding different types and qualities of coal, the development of new coal gasification technologies and their economic viability, the latest advances in the application of advanced coal gasification technologies, the experience of coal chemical industry enterprises in managing different types and qualities of coal, as well as technologies for handling waste gases, waste liquids, and other waste materials in such enterprises.
