What snacks does your family prepare for the New Year?

At my previous workplace, I never had to prepare these things on my own; as the New Year approached, various goods were distributed one after another, with a wide range of items available. I’m feeling quite anxious as I type this today – this year I’ll have to prepare all these things on my own, and it’s really a task that strains both mental and financial resources. What snacks do people usually prepare for the New Year?

It’s just things like melon seeds, peanuts, fruits, etc. – all of which can be bought easily; there’s no need to prepare anything in advance. Moreover, it’s humid in the south, so having too many such items can lead to moisture problems

There are still some available; honeydews are sold in autumn, at a fairly reasonable price, so it’s worth buying them

No, we either buy them directly from supermarkets or from some dry goods stores in the market.
No, these days many are packaged in vacuum packs; by the time the New Year is over, most of them have been eaten
It mainly depends on local customs and family habits; if you want to buy something that’s available for sale, then go ahead and buy it! Anyway, the supermarket is open, so I can go there anytime.
