For a tower equipped with a safety valve and that is airtight, there is a maximum allowable operating pressure. Should the pressure used in the calculations be this maximum allowable pressure?
I don’t really understand it either; during design, we manually enter the test pressure, keeping the design pressure unchanged, and then use the maximum operating pressure as the design pressure to verify the strength of the cylinder head

Please advise: a device equipped with a safety valve must be a leak-proof one, and the maximum allowable operating pressure should be specified in the equipment’s manufacturing drawings. When ensuring leakproofness, the design pressure should be used as a guide. However, the setting pressure of the safety valve must be set according to the maximum allowable operating pressure. As a result, the safe takeoff pressure is greater than the design pressure. It won’t operate when airtight
Sure, of course. Use the one with the highest allowable pressure if it’s available; otherwise, use the design pressure as a default
