Regarding the exhaust pipeline of the water ring vacuum pump, that is, the pipeline for the return of the working fluid, there is a question as to whether it is necessary to insert a section when connecting it to the working fluid tank. I don’t think it’s necessary to insert it; moreover, it’s better to introduce it horizontally, as this facilitates gas-liquid separation. If it comes into contact with liquid after being inserted, it will cause poor exhaust flow and resistance, increasing the load on the vacuum pump and raising the current. If the gas and liquid are not separated in time, bubbles will re-enter the vacuum pump along with the working fluid, causing increased vibration in the vacuum pump.
Indeed, there’s no need to insert it into a liquid, for the reasons you mentioned.
