The relationship with my parents gradually turned into this state: they started communicating more with my younger brother and gradually distanced themselves from me. They discussed everything with the junior guy without telling me a word. I also know that I don’t like to call home often, so my family members are even closer to my brother. (I call home once a month; my family rarely calls me throughout the year.) Another reason is that I love traveling, and because of this, my parents think I’m too fond of fun and that I’m not sensible, which is why they are even less willing to call me. Since the beginning of this year, I’ve also made a lot of efforts; I keep wanting to call my family just for no reason, but it feels like it tires me out. Why has communicating with my family become a burden? They should be the closest family members! ! ! So I’m very distressed; I don’t know how to get along with my parents, nor do I know what to do, while my parents seem quite happy. Every time they call back, they ask me what’s the matter; such phone conversations are so exhausting. I feel like there’s nothing to talk about with my parents; if I talk about my own life, they keep criticizing me, so I don’t know what to say. So, is there a good solution?
You’re not independent enough yet; it will be fine once you get married and start a family
Go back and take a look once in a while! Different life perspectives are not so easy to change.

In my family, my mother is the head of the household and takes care of everything on her own; my father doesn’t have much say (because he’s not very considerate and doesn’t think about his family). Eating, drinking, prostitution, and gambling – mainly gambling). Therefore, mothers have it rather tough. I also always try to listen to my mother’s troubles, but many times, it’s always the same things over and over again. It’s always the same things, no matter how many times you hear them. We all try to understand each other, but I’ve realized that my mother knows very little about me. I’ve also tried to help her understand me, but I always fail.
For example, she thinks the amount of time I spend traveling each year is unfathomable. . . . .
Yeah, it’s not fun at all to just travel by yourself without taking them along
Try to put yourself in their shoes and think from their perspective; that’s the generation gap. More communication will help resolve it.
