I have a question regarding the modification of the characteristics of double-suction centrifugal pumps!
Thread Content
I have an unused double-suction centrifugal pump at home, with a flow rate of 770 m3/h and a head of 78 m; it’s equipped with a 250 KW motor. I would like to modify it so that its flow rate becomes 1500 m3/h and its head becomes 40 m. I’m not sure if this is possible – I’d appreciate any advice from those with experience in this area! Wishing you a happy New Year!
I think it’s better to replace the pump.
Check whether the size of the water pump impeller can be changed to determine this
