Recently, some units within the factory need to be equipped with Venturi liquid-liquid mixers; they haven’t been used before, and I’d like to learn more about them. 1. Can a venturi tube be installed horizontally? What are the requirements for the tail pipe? Can the tail pipe have elbows? 2. What are the requirements of a venturi tube regarding the flow rate and velocity of two-phase liquids? If both the two-phase flow rate and velocity are low, can it achieve good mixing? 3. Does the material flow rate in the straight-through section need to be higher than that in the side sections? It’s my first time using it, so my questions might be rather superficial; I hope experts can offer some guidance! ! !

I’ve never used a venturi for mixing. In my opinion: 1) It can be installed horizontally or vertically, and there can be elbows at the end, but this only increases resistance; 2) A higher flow rate leads to better mixing, while too low a flow rate results in uneven mixing; 3) There are no strict requirements regarding the flow rates in the straight section and the flow measurement section
I haven’t used this; it relies on the principle of scaling down, but a static mixer could be tried
Static mixers are quite expensive; I asked for a quote today, and mine will cost around five to six thousand
If it is only a liquid-phase mixing, a static mixer is also an option.
