I have a question for the experts here: After selecting the temperature and pressure, when choosing materials, why are the elastic modulus and Poisson’s ratio automatically displayed when I select (4) low-chromium steel and (5) medium-chromium steel, but the allowable stress is not shown? However, when I choose material (101) A53A, all three values – elastic modulus, Poisson’s ratio, and allowable stress – are provided Do I need to enter the allowable stresses for low-chromium steel and medium-chromium steel myself? May I ask the experts: what are the allowable stresses for low-chromium steel and medium-chromium steel at 115 degrees and 466 degrees? Thank you
Could it be that the two types of steel you mentioned, which do not experience stress, belong to the same category of steel? For such steel, both the linear expansion coefficient and elastic modulus are identical; it is only the stress that varies depending on the grade of the steel. That’s why the stress value is not provided in the database
