Our unit has a high-pressure injection pump, equipped with a gearbox. The number of reciprocations is 296 times, the flow rate is 10 cubic meters, and the discharge pressure is 80 kilograms. The coupling pins connecting the motor and the gearbox often break (the pins are made of PTFE rods). The concentricity of the coupling is within the specified range; I wonder what caused the breakage of the pin I would appreciate advice from all fellow sailors; thank you!
Starts instantly, overload! It seems that the PTFE pin doesn’t have enough strength; try using one made of nylon instead. (The number of reciprocations is 296 times, with a flow rate of 10 cubic meters.) I don’t understand.:):):)

Thank you for your suggestion. Apart from that, are there any other possible reasons for its damage?
If all the operating parameters of the pump are within the specified range, there are no damaged components after disassembly of the pump, and the coupling is properly aligned, then it is possible that the selected coupling size is too small; in such a case, it is advisable to contact the manufacturer for advice
Before starting, the turning load is high and there is misalignment.
Consult the coupling manufacturer – using a diaphragm coupling would likely yield better results
If the concentricity is good, check the shaft runout of the gearbox and the bearing clearance.
