The fueling pipes at gas stations are made of 20# steel; is it necessary to use sleeves for the part of these pipes that is located beneath the fueling area?
I have another question: are there any explicit requirements in this standard?
It’s not necessary. Seamless steel pipes are recommended for the fixed process pipelines in gas stations. The connection of buried steel pipes shall be by welding. In soil areas where severe corrosion of steel pipes occurs, composite pipes that are resistant to oil, soil corrosion, and capable of conducting static electricity can be used for direct burial of pipelines. The anti-corrosion design of the outer surface of buried process pipelines shall comply with the relevant provisions of the current standard **\"Design Code for Corrosion Control of Steel Pipelines and Storage Tanks\" SY 0007, and an anti-corrosion insulation coating of at least the reinforced grade shall be used.
