Our factory has an alkylation unit, and during the alkali washing and water washing steps in the refining stage, emulsification occurs quite severely; it is necessary to replace the alkali and water frequently. I’m not sure what the problem is – I hope experts can help answer this question. . .
How did you tell it was emulsified? What is your alkali washing temperature?
Check your raw material composition and your acid concentration, as well as the volume of lye and the temperature of the alkali washing cycle.
