What is the appropriate distance for the thermometer thread from the gauge head?

The distance between the thermometer thread and the gauge head should be such as to facilitate installation. The movable external thread is essentially the same as the fixed external thread; the difference lies in the fact that the fixed thread is welded in place
The distance from the thermometer thread to the gauge head depends on the operating conditions being measured; there are many different specifications available from various manufacturers, and it depends on what temperature you want to measure
The cold-end length of a regular thermometer is 150 mm
Are there any relevant standards, or is it based on experience? Thank you!
Personally, I think the movable external thread might be designed to account for the relatively heavy nature of the gauge head, so it might be a bit shorter than the fixed external thread
I’m not sure about the thermometer, but the distance for the temperature transmitter is determined based on the temperature conditions in the actual operating environment; when the temperature is high, we increase this distance accordingly
The probe needs to come into contact with the actual temperature of the fluid, usually at the center of the pipe.
There are standards. It should be the installation specifications for thermal instruments; since our company specializes in instruments, we often encounter such problems.
