The pump will become empty; if this isn’t detected in time, it may damage the equipment. It’s not a big problem if the pump becomes empty for a short period of time, but the motor of the pump will get very hot. I’ve encountered it before; it’s just experience speaking.
If the inlet filter of the positive displacement pump is completely blocked, the motor will not shut down due to overload; instead, it will collapse the filter.
The consequences are serious; it is recommended to replace the Luthol filter element
