What are the differences between TP347 and TP347H steel grades?
Thread Content
As title
The carbon content of the two differs; 347H has a higher carbon content and is more resistant to high temperatures. It is essentially 304 with niobium added. As far as I know, stainless steel molten salt storage tanks used in concentrated solar power generation are made of 347H
Adding an H at the end means high temperature resistance, High
TP347H has a higher carbon content and a higher allowable stress at high temperatures.
TP347H has a higher carbon content and a higher allowable stress at high temperatures; the additional ‘H’ denotes high temperature resistance, meaning ‘High’.
