On December 20, 2016, the 10,000-ton per day fast pyrolysis project for powdered coal using a conveying bed at the Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Technology Research Institute began operations, with the entire process now operational and entering the phase of continuous operation testing. The 10,000-ton-class conveyor bed rapid pyrolysis technology for coal powder is a collaborative project aimed at developing clean and efficient methods for converting and utilizing coal, developed jointly by Shaanxi Coal Chemical Group, Academician Xu Delong from Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, and Shaanxi Circular Economy Engineering Technology Institute. The total planned investment for the project is 28.84 million yuan, with construction starting in September 2015. To date, the entire system has been operating steadily, with normal production of tar and coke powder, and all subsystems are functioning smoothly.
