I would like to ask everyone: while looking at the drawings today, I saw “3B2” and “2E2” – I’m not sure what they mean. It should represent the pressure rating. I hadn’t come across it before, and I searched for it myself but couldn’t find it. Thank you!
There should be a separate document in the drawings explaining what these abbreviations mean. It’s not a universal abbreviation, so others can’t possibly know what it stands for

For each project, the material control department of the design institute prepares a material control manual (the names of these departments vary); you just need to ask the process engineering department for one to take a look and you’ll understand. A corresponding code table is also available on the PID homepage.
There is something called a legend, and there are also rules for the design of construction drawings; different design firms use different terms for these. These rules specify the meaning of all the drawings and code numbers within a project, as well as the materials to be used.
Design institute pipeline material grade code. The first digit is the code for the pipe pressure rating, the second digit is the code for the pipe material, and the third digit is the sequence number.
