The oxygen in the sulfur recovery unit is primarily used for the combustion of 1/206Z101 acidic gas and fuel gas. The design, manufacturing, and installation of the pipelines related to this purpose were all completed before 2013; in accordance with the regulations for pipeline material design, these oxygen pipelines were designed in compliance with GB50030-1991. In accordance with the latest standard GB50030-2013 and the newly implemented JB/T 12955-2016 \"Technical Requirements for Valves Used for Oxygen\", a review was conducted on the design and installation of the oxygen pipelines in the sulfur recovery unit. It was found that a total of 5 control valves used for oxygen in this unit did not meet the requirements specified in JB/T 12955-2016. Can the safety production requirements be met without replacing the control valve? What is the basis?
Control valves in oxygen systems have always required materials such as copper and stainless steel. As for what it’s used for, it has little to do with this, so it can continue to be used. For reference.
The biggest safety concern is the material; check the pressure and flow rate, and ensure that the material meets the standards of JB/T 12955. Apart from the material, I don’t think there are any major issues with the installation or valve settings
