The packing seal of the reciprocating compressor is not tight enough

Our factory uses reciprocating compressors manufactured by Dongfang Compressor Factory. We have observed severe air leakage at the pressure packing area (where the cylinder meets the connecting tube). Even after replacing it with new sealing rings, the leakage persists, though to a lesser extent. What could be causing this? Is there any special treatment required for the sealing rings during installation? We have a level 7 seal; the first five levels use C-ring seals, while the last two levels use B-ring seals, with nitrogen sealing for protection
Fillers cannot provide 100% sealing; it is acceptable within a reasonable range! ! If it’s too large, it’s not normal!
Plunger packing seals can allow for a certain level of leakage, as long as it remains within a reasonable range
There is an appropriate amount of leakage; if the leakage is too excessive, solid particles may get trapped between the sealing surfaces
