Leakage problem with the mechanical seal of a vertical liquid ammonia pump?

The vertical liquid ammonia pumps in our factory are equipped with mechanical seals; over the past two months, these two pumps have experienced frequent seal leaks, requiring as many as 20 repairs. I’m not sure how to resolve this issue Can experts with similar pumps provide a solution? This pump originally had an external seal, which was an ethylene glycol seal, but it was removed during modifications.
Our factory also faces similar problems, which include the following: 1. The quality of the machine seal rubber rings is sometimes substandard, and they are not resistant to water or ammonia. 2. During pump startup, it is too fast, or the exhaust is inadequate. 3. Excessive graphite wear in the vertical pump, causing the rotor to wobble. 4. It is still best to use ethylene glycol for sealing and initial lubrication.
Restore the ethylene glycol seal, pay attention to the material of the static and dynamic ring seals, and check the alignment of the coupling as well as the wear of the elastic blocks.
