The intake port of the breather valve on the atmospheric pressure storage tank is leaking, with very poor sealing. 1. Are there any aspects of the equipment itself that can be improved? Are there any recommended manufacturers that are good at producing breathing valves? 2. Can another device be used as a replacement? Please, experts, help me out
A breather valve is meant to connect to the outside – so what’s the problem with air leakage? Is it to recover the leaked gas?
Could you explain it more clearly? Is air leakage from a breathing valve usually caused by debris on the sealing surface?
Since the stored materials have an irritating odor and there is significant pressure to meet environmental standards, the intake opening should be used for drawing in air – so why does an odor come out from that intake opening?

Is it directly vented to the atmosphere or is oil and gas recovered?
We have encountered similar issues before, where entire batches of valves had poor sealing and leaked air. If cleaning them thoroughly did not resolve the problem, it might be due to insufficient precision in the mechanical processing of the sealing surfaces by the manufacturer. In that case, we filed complaints with the supplier and arranged for all the breather valves to be replaced. Ideally, the negative pressure port should be pressed tighter as the pressure inside the tank increases. Additionally, if the sealing surface of the additional block is not good or deforms under pressure, it also needs to be replaced. Only then can the problem be completely solved. This is for reference only.
This question is wrong, right? A breathing valve should be connected to the atmosphere; it draws in air, so how can it expel air?
