Can clamp joints be used for sealing reactors with pressures greater than 8 MPa? Can it replace bolts?
Nothing can replace bolts; otherwise, why wouldn’t all industrial pipelines use clamp connections, which are both convenient and fast? As for whether 8MPa can be used, it depends on what kind of clamp it is. Ordinary clamp connectors, such as those used for fire fighting water, do not exceed 1 MPa. The other connections are better; at most, they reach 3 to 4 MPa.

A specially designed set of clamps, using thicker bands and larger fixing screws, should work. The original poster should give it a try; if it succeeds, you will be the first in China to do so.
You can ask the manufacturer; there is a company named Schweirock that specializes in ferrule connectors, and it’s not clear whether they can handle such high pressures.
