The \"General Rules for the Design of Pipeline Layout in Petrochemical Industries\" SH3012-2000 stipulate: 1) Galvanized pipes with a nominal diameter of 100 mm or less; 2) Lined pipes or jacketed pipes. Why use flange connections?
1) Galvanized pipes with a nominal diameter of 100 mm or less; threaded pipe fittings or union fittings can be used, and flanges are not necessarily required. 2) Lined pipe or jacketed pipe. Lined pipes or jacketed pipes can also be welded; flanges are not necessary. It is specified in the piping design reference book.
