Some people say that for Roots blowers used in oil and gas recovery, not only must the motors be explosion-proof, but the equipment itself must also be explosion-proof—for instance, the impellers should be made of copper. Is there any such regulation?

Rotary vane blowers are either made of cast iron or stainless steel; there are no other materials available for now. Therefore, changing the materials is not very feasible; explosion-proof units achieve explosion protection through other devices, it’s not as simple as just using an explosion-proof motor. Also, looking at your parameters, if it can be changed to a centrifugal type, then there will be no problem.
