Although the production license system has been abolished now, type certification exists, and it’s essentially the same thing. As for magnetic flap switches, which are simply types of connectors, can’t anyone weld them? Is a license still needed? What about thermocouples, thermal resistors, and bimetallic devices – these simple instruments do they also require a license? And what about float switches and magnetostrictive sensors? It seems that any electronics factory can produce these, and no one seems to check on it. Take those common small water level float switches found in the market for example; it seems hardly necessary to have a license for them. A farmer can just bend a steel pipe and attach a reed switch to it, and it’ll work. Can you really say that’s illegal?

Those type tests conducted to verify accuracy in terms of measurement are completely useless when it comes to the operational reliability of the instrument, or to determining how long it can operate without failure. The technical quality of a meter is determined by its design; its performance and quality are determined by the manufacturing process. There’s really no need for some sort of \"license\" system for meters. **That’s right**, it makes perfect sense. . . Those who are interested and capable should go ahead and design and manufacture new instruments, then promote and sell them. If they sell well, it’s possible to create entirely new social needs; in popular terms, this means establishing some kind of “ecosystem”…… For example, the iPhone, which overturned traditional norms and created a new trend – Steve Jobs, through his efforts, helped to advance humanity......
Isn’t type certification also a mandatory requirement at the moment? Although the production license has been abolished, type certification is introduced in its place – isn’t that just changing the name while leaving everything the same?
Type certification for measuring instruments has existed in the past. In the past, after type approval was obtained, additional assessments were carried out on the site, equipment, personnel, and other conditions; once all these conditions were met, a manufacturing license for measuring instruments would be issued.

Big bosses with **significant resources** don’t care about spending 80,000, 100,000, or N million on certification; they’d be willing to spend even the smallest amount to get it done. . . The biggest use of certification is probably to help big bosses show off, I guess. Only mature instruments with national standards and inspection regulations, such as pressure gauges and pressure transducers, can undergo type certification. If you invent a new instrument for which there are no national standards or testing regulations, then I wouldn’t know how to carry out type certification – what standards should be used for such certification? Who should be in charge of the certification? One should not always focus on measuring instruments from the perspective of those instruments themselves; instead, it’s necessary to understand them from the standpoint of automated measurement and control components. One should consider whether such instruments can meet the requirements of industrial measurement and control, and if they can, then that’s fine. Radar maniacs, sonic wave maniacs – those two intermittent lunatics. Even if they pass type certification, would you dare treat them as measuring instruments? I don’t dare; the time stability is terrible – it’s as bad as poop. How can I trust their measurements at all times?
