What is the most heart-wrenching reason for resignation you’ve ever heard? I ask the senior experts to share it with us. Let me mention one first. I’m in a conversation with an excellent mechanic. Mechanic: I need to take a few days off; there are some matters at home. Me: What’s the matter? How many days do you need? Mechanic: The child is sick. Me: Okay, then go take the child to see a doctor first; I’ll have someone handle the paperwork. Is one week enough? Mechanic: … I: Not enough? Is the baby serious? What’s going on? Do you need help? Mechanic: I want to quit; I’m not working here anymore. Me: Have you made up your mind? Mechanic: It’s decided. Me: Can I know the reason?
