Internal leakage in coiled tube heat exchangers

Hydrogen production via water-coal slurry gasification, the Lurgi low-temperature methanol washing process; for raw gas cooling, a coil cooling + ammonia cooling + water separation + (methanol spray) coil cooling sequence is employed. After 3 years of use, internal leakage occurred in the first coil. Has this kind of problem occurred before?
Is there a gas-liquid separation pipeline at the bottom of the coil heat exchanger? Material?
It is estimated that blocking the pipe is difficult to achieve and hard to find.
It’s a hassle; what’s the status of the purified gas parameters?
Whether the material of the equipment can withstand changes in process temperature, and whether cracks may appear on the hot and cold contact surfaces leading to leaks
