The operating temperature of the fluid inside the pump is around 40 degrees Celsius; self-flushing is employed, and double-end face seals are used for the mechanical seal. I would like to ask the experts whether it is necessary to rotate the pump before it is put into use ? ? ? What impact will the disc pump have? ? ? The lean methanol pump is a pump equipped with interlocks. Generally, pumps with interlocks are not rotated manually, as this is done to prevent the interlocks from activating at the moment of rotation, thereby ensuring safety. The reason for not rotating such pumps manually is precisely this concern. Usually, these pumps have their orientation changed once a month; in some cases, they are rotated daily, in order to prevent the shaft from bending or deforming, which could affect its normal operation. Different pump materials require different approaches in this regard, which is why some factories rotate such pumps while others do not.
