There are so many stories about newcomers! Let me first share a recent incident similar to yours: Our department has a liquid ring compressor, and the outlet filter of the Service Liquide circulation pump became clogged. An attempt was made on-site to switch to a backup filter, but due to inadequate inspection, it wasn’t noticed that the drain valve of the backup filter wasn’t closed. As a result, the low flow rate from Service Liquide during the switching process caused the compressor to shut down. We can talk about the rest slowly.

When new employees encounter problems, it is mainly due to inadequate training and a lack of diligence on their part. Firstly, the control room requested that the pump be switched off; two people were sent to the site, one of whom was particularly proactive – he immediately stopped the operating pump, leaving the other person stunned. Secondly, when a toxic substance leaked, the operator rushed back to get an oxygen mask and then went to deal with the leak; he collapsed within less than 2 minutes. The respirator valve wasn’t open, and it suffocated me. Thirdly, in the tank truck used to transport nitric acid, which was modified to carry organic amines, a small amount of nitric acid remaining at the bottom of the tank wasn’t cleaned up properly, and as a result the tank exploded. Fortunately, no one was hurt. The individual contractors responsible for transporting goods act carelessly, while the company’s filling staff fail to manage the vehicles properly and do not conduct thorough inspections. One must take these things seriously during training – both the written tests and hands-on operations require repeated practice. Everyone must pass the training exam, and it has to be taken again after a while. How many new things can there be in a factory? It mainly involves studying hard and practicing diligently on the problems encountered, striving for excellence. Chemical plants are too dangerous; it’s never too careful to be.
This really requires attention – safety comes first. This year I was planning to get a certification in occupational safety as well; it’s good to keep learning too
