Technical meeting held for the high-temperature and high-pressure circulating fluidized bed boiler in Shaanxi Yueneng Chemical Materials’ 400,000-ton/year ethylene glycol production project – Author/Source: Huahua Net Coal Chemicals; Date: 2020-01-09; Clicks: 25. On January 4th, the first technical meeting regarding the 3×350t/h high-temperature and high-pressure circulating fluidized bed boilers for Shaanxi Yueneng Chemical Materials’ 1.2 million tons/year ethylene glycol production project was held in Harbin. The meeting included detailed reports on the preliminary preparations for the project, task allocation, and implementation plan. Discussions, consultations, and confirmations were held regarding the preliminary design scheme for the boiler, the conditions required to meet those design requirements, the schedule for delivering boiler design documents, as well as the document and information transmission channels. Through thorough communication and coordination among Yueneng Chemical Materials Company, the design institute, and the suppliers, a consensus was ultimately reached, resulting in an actionable meeting minutes. For the first phase of Shaanxi Yulin Energy Group Co., Ltd.’s project to produce 1.2 million tons per year of ethylene glycol, involving 400,000 tons of production capacity, the procurement process for 3×350t/h high-temperature and high-pressure circulating fluidized bed boilers was completed in November 2019. Harbin Boiler Factory Co., Ltd. won the bid to supply these boilers; the contract value was 119.91 million yuan. The construction period/delivery time/service period is 365 days. The holding of this meeting further clarified the detailed technical solutions, marking the official commencement of the boiler design process. Lu Xuehua, deputy director of the Chemical Project Preparation Office at Yueneng Group Company and general manager of the Chemical Materials Company, relevant officials from Saiding Engineering Co., Ltd. and Harbin Boiler Factory, as well as technical staff from Yueneng Chemical Materials Company, attended the meeting. Yuneng Group’s project for producing 400,000 tons of coal-based ethylene glycol per year is located in the Qingshui Industrial Park of the Yushen Industrial Zone. It covers an area of approximately 1,711 mu, with a total investment of around 5.8 billion yuan expected; completion and operation are scheduled for 2021. Coal-based syngas is used; carbon monoxide and hydrogen are separated through gas purification, and ethylene glycol is synthesized indirectly via carbonylation, coupling, and hydrogenation. Industrial products such as dimethyl carbonate, crude ethanol, mixed alcohols, sulfur, liquid oxygen, and liquid nitrogen are produced as by-products. The main process units include the coal-based syngas production unit, purification and separation unit, ethylene glycol production unit, boiler and power generation unit, air separation unit, along with various supporting utility systems.
