Segmented solution treatment of austenitic stainless steel

I saw a statement saying that austenitic stainless steel does not allow segmented solution treatment – what is the basis for this?
Where I saw it – it probably refers to the materials. Pressure vessels that have been manufactured generally cannot undergo full-scale solution treatment; components such as end caps can be treated by solution treatment separately. As for segmented solution treatment, it generally refers to carrying out heat treatment in segments across the entire material. This approach is not allowed mainly because, when treating different segments, it is difficult to avoid heating other parts as well, which could lead to sensitization.
