What is the scientific name for the “handle” of a blast disc? I didn’t pay attention before, but I realized that some burst discs have an installation direction, as indicated by 1 and 2 in the image below. But is there also a direction indicator for something like image 3?

According to standard regulations, the nameplate of a blast disc should be a 3D-folded type, with an arrow indicating the direction of discharge – this is a requirement specified by national standards. Also, under normal circumstances, the side of the nameplate facing forward is the direction in which discharge occurs
Generally, the downward bent part of the nameplate indicates the direction of discharge; on some V-ball valves, the direction is also indicated using arrows
