How do fixed pipe clamps restrict axial displacement? Is the pipe clamp tightened around the pipe by controlling the tightening torque of the bolt?
The pipe is fixed to the pipe supports and pipe racks.
The rigid polyurethane foam frames I have seen have a thrust ring welded to the pipe on each side of it; these thrust rings are used to secure the rigid polyurethane foam and thus achieve fixation.
Fiberglass pipes – I’ve worked with them before; metal pipes, on the other hand, I haven’t dealt with them yet.
It would be better if a picture were added to the building plan, because there are more than one type of fixing clamp – it’s not clear which one is being referred to. The ordinary welding method is the most common.
