Why is the control valve vibrating violently?
If the valve stem vibrates up and down, it may be because the closing force of the valve is too low, making it difficult to overcome the pressure difference across the valve. Try reducing the pressure at the front end or increasing the compressed air pressure (if it is a pneumatic control valve) —— Fured Steam Energy Saving.
This issue is quite complex; it could be caused by cavitation, flashing, or vaporization, as well as resonance. It might also be due to improper fitting between the sleeve and the valve core
If it’s due to flashing, how to solve it?
Choose valves that are resistant to flashing, such as sleeve valves or multi-stage pressure reducers; I’m not sure what your specific operating conditions and the properties of the medium are, so I can’t be certain.
