This is a Z41Y-600LB I valve, and the customer requested that the sealing surface be of the RF type. Arrange for the manufacturer to produce and ship it. During the final customer inspection, they insisted that it was convex in shape, rather than having the RF convex surface as requested. ? I communicated repeatedly with the manufacturer, and what was produced was indeed a 600LB ribbed version. Now I’m confused myself. Could some expert identify whether it’s a convex surface or an RF surface?
My manufacturer told me. The 600-pound national standard specifies that the protrusion should be 8 MM
RF is convex, while M is concave.
It depends on the size; there shouldn’t be any difference in appearance, I guess
RF means convex, while FF means completely flat.
RF is a convex surface; M is convex, while FM is concave. Measure the dimensions of the sealing surface and compare them with the values specified in the standards.

With the sealing surface this high, it should be convex according to the standards.

Looking at the boss dimensions (height and diameter), it should be a convex surface (M) rather than RF
