The tank area contains 16 storage tanks with a capacity of 20 cubic meters each. The vent gases from every group of 8 tanks are directed to one exhaust gas absorption system. These 8 tanks hold 4 different types of materials. What type of valves should be installed on the vent lines of each tank to prevent contamination of the other tanks in case one tank overflows and spills its contents?
If the valve can’t solve the problem, let’s use a buffer tank
I wonder how the pressure in your storage tank is controlled? ? Here, the exhaust gases from all the storage tanks in the plant (dozens of them) are gathered into one pipeline and sent to an exhaust gas treatment tower. Each storage tank is controlled using segmented control (2 control valves), ensuring no cross-contamination. Also, is the pressure control of the storage tank very high? Should a check valve be installed on the exhaust line? There’s no need for that, right?
It’s best to install both a check valve and a buffer tank as a double safeguard :)
