Hello, experts. As shown in the diagram: since the maintenance of Equipment A is affecting the lifting operations of other equipment nearby, we now want to move the equipment located in front of the heat exchanger to a side position. However, the design team says that both the maintenance of Equipment A and the material pipelines for heat exchangers 1 to 4 on the opposite side need to be arranged symmetrically. The intention of the design team seems to be that equipment A, heat exchangers 1 and 2, as well as equipment S, heat exchangers 3 and 4, need to be arranged symmetrically on both sides of the inlet main pipe. I would like to ask: Which standard addresses the installation layout of the inlet pipes for multiple heat exchangers, specifying the installation requirements? Or which standard requires the symmetrical layout mentioned by the design unit. (I haven’t been exposed to this before, so I’m really not familiar with it.) Please help, thank you! )
If arranged as shown in the diagram below, from a fluid dynamics perspective, the heat exchange efficiency of device A will be somewhat lower, mainly because most of the fluid forms a circulation loop through device B.
Hello, the A/S device is a hydrocyclone, not a heat exchanger; the material that comes out enters units 1 to 4, where it undergoes heat exchange in those four heat exchangers.
Theoretically, this change does not affect the uniformity of heat transfer; it is the front end of the heat exchanger that is affected. The change in the common pipeline for A and S will inevitably impact their common flow parameters. In my humble opinion, re-calculations would be necessary to ensure no effects occur
Here’s a suggestion: draw it from the midpoint of the AS outlet manifold! Don’t introduce it in the way you’ve drawn it!
